Ulsan Factory recognized “saving energy is a necessary condition to survive in unlimited competition period” and did their best to save energy cost for 5 years , so they reduced cost about 50% compare 2002 to 1998.  For guaranteeing competitive power through the management, they got ISO-9002 in 1995, ISO-14001 in 2000 and they participate government energy saving campaign positively by joining GEF in 2000, contracting VA in 2001. Specially in 2000, they try to meet the situation in high oil price and changing energy environment like Gulf war, Strike in Venezuela, they had energy saving assembly, collect slogans for strengthen aware of energy and it comes by 1,000 accomplishment. This awards  became a chance to raise our image and pride and became a new motive to keep on reducing cost.
